18th Nov High Scores + Military D Triumph

First I have to mention the away score Military D achieved on Friday, it was 417 against Tattibogoes at the Snooker Centre. This is the highest ever away score since records began in 1956/57. previous holders were Tattibogoes & Harry's Lads who both scored 416 in the 90's. The score was achieved with legs of 85-104-109-119 this included 3 players with 40+ as you can see below. Well done to Military D.

Summer Season Begins

The summer season started on the13th may, 6 people play 6 legs, there were 24 people scored over 50, the highest on the 13th was 58 by T James of Mutts Nutts. The games on the 20th finished with 23 people scoring over 50 with the highest being an incredible 70 by C Smith of Barton with legs of 16, 13, 10, 11, 15 & 5, that will be very hard to beat. Champion Of Champions

Skittles Winter Season Concluded

Monday 25th April to Friday 29th April …. The Champion of Champions competition took place, High scores in that week long competition were G Cheshire 51 (Woodpeckers) A Forrest 41 (Woodpeckers) A Gaunt 40 (Westend)  
Preliminary games were Monday 25th Woodpeckers Div 2 (376)  V Military GPO Div 4(334) then on the 27th two games, Westend Div 5 (394) V Woodpeckers (343) & Bunch Of Bankers Div 3 (341) V Fire Brigade Div 1 (325). The final on 29th Westend (337) V Bunch of Bankers (325) and that finishes the winter season. Have a rest ready for September 2016 when it all starts again.  

 

 

Singles & Pairs Finals

Friday 22nd, the semi final & final of the singles & pairs took place. In the singles J Yeld (Evans SC played R Beynon (Brewers Creeps) R Beynon won. then P Speak & S Pearce (Military D) met B Weekes & P Cross (Bridgemen) Weekes & Cross won with a last man 15 spare. and S Griffiths & C Stephens (Tattibogoes) played D Hall & G Cheshire (Woodpeckers) Hall & Cheshire won a close game. THE FINALS .... R Taylor won the singles title with a score of 37, then D Hall & G Cheshire won the Pairs title with a score of 51. well done to all who took part.

Man V Man & Play offs.....

Friday 15th, the Man V Man final took place at the Richmond Club, Tattibogoes played Military 'D' and beat them 8.5 to 3.5, game scores were 366 the Tatties & 324 Military 'D'. On the same night Whitecross 'B' & Brooksiders played at the Railway Club to decide who would go down and who would stay up, Whitecross 'B' won 343 to 311. Also for the same reason in Div 3 Acorns played Southend at the Golden Lion, Acorns won 333 to 314. On Saturday the 16th the Div 1 winner was decided when Fire Brigade played Military 'D' at the Potting Shed, Fire Brigade won in a very close game 345 to 342.

April 1st

Just a few re-arranged games played tonight and the quarter finals of the Man V Man cup, the teams going into the semi finals on the 13th of April are Tattibogoes who will play Evans SC and Woodpeckers who will play Military 'D', the few high scores from tonight are ....

Front Pin Final 30th March

The game was held at the Richmond club between Richmond Lions and Beevers, Beevers won with a score of 276 achieved with legs of 76, 72, 79 & 49. Richmond Lions scored 243 achieved with leg scores of 62, 61, 63 & 57.

Knock Out Cup Final

the game took place between Evans SC and Richmond Lions at the Richmond club on Wednesday 23rd March. Richmond Lions won by 2 points finishing with 340 against Evans 338, leg scores were Evans 86, 83, 81 & 88 and Lions 81, 76, 103 & 80, a very good game to watch.

Well believe it or not that's it for division's 4 & 5, just a couple of re-arranged games to get played, well done to Military GPO for winning Div 4 & Westend for the same in Div 5, new teams to play for them next season. Three Cities Team Retain Cup

On Saturday 6th Feb our County team Captained by Steve fleet went to Worcester and won by 11 points, this means Hereford retains the cup they won last year. Well done to Steve and his fellow players, scores were Hereford 624 Worcester 613.

On 27th November 2015 M Cook of team VAGA scored a cracking 56, which was made up of a 17, 5, 8 and an incredible 26, just one off the illusive max of 27. well done to him, now do it again !!!!!

2nd Jan 2016 3 Cities game against Gloucester

The game was held at home at the Military Club, unfortunately Hereford lost this game, 604 to 623. There were not many stand out scores for Hereford except Steve Fleet got a 64 which included a spare of 17, other spares were S Moore got a 15, M Morgan a 17, A Morgan and S Stephenson got 14's. A good effort. The next game is 6th Feb away against Worcester, good luck with that game.
